The Arkansas State Bookstore meeting is around the corner.  This year, Pam White, Arkansas State University-Beebe, along with bookstore managers from ASU-Searcy and ASU-Heber Springs, will HOST the meeting on FRIDAY, APRIL 22, 2011, 9:00am-3:00pm at ASU-Beebe, located on Hwy 67/167 NE of Little Rock. 

This gives us a more centralized location this year and I am looking for a good turnout.  This is always a productive meeting, especially for networking within Arkansas.  We all basically do the same thing whether we are the University of Arkansas or National Park Community College.  We all have most of the same challenges, expectations, and industry trends, legislation, and future outlooks to consider.

We are planners….we are organizers….we are directors….we are controllers…..we are leaders….we are……the bookstore!

Please rsvp to me as soon as possible prior to April 21, 2011.  This will give Pam an idea on attendance and for a lunch count.  Also, bring your staff, or any part of your staff, or send a bookstore staff member if you cannot attend – include them if at all possible.

Also, please send me any agenda items you would like to consider for the meeting.  One of my favorite agenda items…is crosstalk.  A period of open communication on ANY bookstore subject.

I appreciate your support with this meeting….we have to network to survive.  I understand this costs you a day at the office.  However, the benefits are worth it if you want it to be……This is a great and informal place to START.
